WEDNESDAY, SEPTEMBER 21

Regulatory Roadblocks to Global Competition
Presenter: Kristin Schmitz, senior staff veterinarian, USDA/APHIS
Schmitz will discuss regulatory hurdles when exporting pet food, animal feed and ingredients. Topics include EU certification, exporting to Canada, status of beef exports to Japan, Australian poultry rules, implications of Avian Influenza to global exports, BSE status in the U.S. and Canada; and the EU’s leverage over importation of feedstuffs into EU countries.

Feed Quality/Safety Tools Available for Feed Operations
